Hailstorms in Sydney

Sydney had a couple of great hailstorms over the weekend. Saturday night's hail was small (1cm) and short-lived, but Sunday provided some more entertainment: we were pelted with hailstones at least three centimetres wide! It was strong enough that you could hear the storm coming across the neighbouring houses before you saw it (and felt it) outside your own door.

Nowhere near the size or intensity of the 1999 Sydney hailstorm, and luckily much less of the associated damage. A couple of pics from my house, this is about as white as Sydney gets:
